Lisa Nelson Raabe has worked as an art teacher, art therapist, and yoga therapist, delving into the relationships between our bodies, stored emotion, thoughts and memories. Lisa lives in Peoria Heights, IL with her husband, poet Burton Raabe and their cat Zorba.
"Working with line, a very thin rayon space-dyed thread pulled taut and embedded with acrylic medium, the color bleeds, disappears and reappears. This physical way of drawing engages spontaneous trajectories in random yet intentional configurations. Geometric complexities, inside/outside, gemlike configurations explore both inner and outer spaces." –Lisa Nelson Raabe
